Haverford Township Historical Society
Our Photograph Collection
The Haverford Township Historical Society was formed in 1939 to promote and sustain interest in the history of our community. With the specific function of preserving property, documents and information of historic value pertaining to Haverford Township, HTHS has played a critical role in local preservation efforts.
One of the ways that HTHS helps history come alive for residents and visitors to our area is through photography. The photograph collection housed by HTHS at Nitre Hall, our headquarters on Karakung Drive, contains vintage photographs as well as more current scenes. There are works from professional photographers as well as hobbyists. There are realtor photographs, portraits, and just about any other type of picture you can imagine. We have published a book of photographs from this collection as well as a 2007 calendar.
As part of our ongoing effort to keep history alive and well in Haverford Township, we need to document our community as it exists today. We need your help!
